When you add pins to your map layer, you can customise the pins by selecting a marker icon. Marker icons can be either default icons provided by District Engage, or custom markers uploaded into the site or project marker icon library.
Marker icon types
District Engage allows users to choose between the following marker icon options:
- Default marker icon: A marker icon that can be configured by colour and/or size.
- Custom marker icon: An icon uploaded by users into a marker icon library. These icons will be available in the Custom marker icon dropdown in the Layer Builder.
Marker icon libraries
District Engage provides two marker icon libraries where custom markers may be uploaded.
- Site marker library: Icons uploaded in the site marker icon library will be available in the Map Builder for any project.
- Project marker library: Icons uploaded in the project marker icon library will be available in the Map Builder only for that specific project.
