Add, edit or remove dashboard widgets

District Engage allows you to get important insights about your consultations quickly and easily, right from your dashboard. Personalise your data visualisations and choose what is important to you through adding and editing widgets.

To add a new widget to your dashboard

  1. Navigate to your Dashboard (main dashboard, project dashboard).
  2. On the upper right-hand side of the dashboard, click the + icon.
  3. A pop-up window with a dropdown with all available widgets will appear.
  4. Select your preferred widget from the dropdown list. This will open a window with widget setting fields. Depending on the widget type you have selected, different fields will be displayed.
    1. Fill in the relevant fields. Note: the 'Suffix' field is the text that will appear next to the number on your count card.
    2. Set the widget display settings
  5. Click Save in the pop-up window to add the widget to your dashboard.
  6. To ensure the new widget becomes part of your default dashboard layout, click the Save changes button that appears on your dashboard after saving the new widget settings.

 

To edit an existing widget on your dashboard

  1. Navigate to your Dashboard (main dashboard, project dashboard).
  2. Select the widget you want to update.
  3. Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the widget box, and select Edit.
  4. Select your preferred widget from the dropdown list. This will open a window with widget setting fields. Depending on the widget type you have selected, different fields will be displayed.
    1. Fill in the relevant fields. Note: the 'Suffix' field is the text that will appear next to the number on your count card.
    2. Set the widget display settings.
  5. Click Save in the pop-up window to add the widget to your dashboard.
  6. To ensure the new widget becomes part of your default dashboard layout, click the Save changes button that appears on your dashboard after saving the new widget settings.

 

To remove an existing widget on your dashboard

  1. Navigate to your Dashboard (main dashboard, project dashboard).
  2. Select the widget you want to delete.
  3. Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the widget box, and select Remove.
  4. To ensure the deleted widget will be removed from your default dashboard layout, click the Save changes button that appears on your dashboard after deleting the widget.

 

Drag and drop dashboard widgets

The way in which widgets are being displayed on your dashboard can be customised by dragging and dropping the widgets around.

To reorder your widgets:

  1. Navigate to your Dashboard (main dashboard, team dashboard, project dashboard).
  2. Hover over a widget until your cursor changes to the drag and drop icon, and then click and hold to drag and drop the widget where you want it to be.
  3. To ensure these changes will be saved on your default dashboard layout, click the Save changes button that appears on your dashboard after moving the widgets around.
